Welcome to the website of
Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Reserach in Bosnia and Herzegovina, ISPOR Regional Chapter.
Pharmacoeconomics is a modern and relatively young scientific discipline, which has begun to play an important role in developing and marketing the drug until the early 1990-ies, and the today is gaining in importance when making decisions on the selection of treatment and public funding of medicines and health technologies.
Companies and health insurance funds, ministries of health, medical schools and schools of public health and pharmaceutical companies are becoming increasingly aware of the need to acquire expertise in this field.
Pharmacoeconomics in our country becomes a reality and needs, but because of the small number of professionals who are adequately educated and trained is still in its infancy and early phase of development.
With the aim of bringing together experts in this field, as well as all those who have an interest, there is a need for establishing of the Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Soon after its establishment our Society has been recognized as regional chapter of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR), because of our program objectives aimed at education and scientific approach to this issue.
Our intention is to bring together experts from health insurance funds, ministries of health, academic institutions, health institutions (clinical centers, hospitals, health centers), insurance companies, pharmaceutical industry, as well as those encountered in everyday work with decision-making in choosing appropriate therapy for patients, which will be justified, not only clinical but also the economic side, who have different professional background (pharmaceuticals, medicine, dentistry, economics).
We hope that you find interesting on the page content and information to help you familiarize yourself with pharmacoeconomics or enhance existing knowledge and establish communication with both the ISPOR BH and with colleagues.
